On March 26, the CIRCUS project partners came together online for the first quarterly meeting of 2025. This check-in marked an important moment in the project’s timeline, as partners shared progress, identified common challenges, and aligned on key next steps for the upcoming period.
The meeting focused on:
• Updates on the selection process of pilot communities
• A status check on the four tools under development
• Clarification of the work still needed to move into the evaluation and implementation phase
Each partner presented where they stand in their development process, and what input or support is still required from others. This kind of exchange not only improves transparency, but also reinforces the collaborative spirit that defines the CIRCUS project.
Key agreements include:
Finalising selection criteria and community identification forms
Gathering additional regional data for tool development
Ensuring tools will be accessible in multiple languages
Sharing deliverables and documentation via the central SharePoint
Despite early delays, the consortium is committed to regaining momentum. The upcoming partner meetings in April and May will be crucial for finalising the tools and launching the work in the selected pilot communities.
CIRCUS continues to strengthen its mission: supporting rural communities in their journey towards sustainable, locally driven energy solutions.
