We have an exciting announcement: next week our official Kick-Off Event is taking place! This time our partner LochemEnergie is hosting the event in the wonderful town Lochem in the Netherlands. The event will take place on the 20th, 21st and 22nd of November.
Several of our international partners and experts from Belgium, France, Ireland, Germany and the Netherlands will come together to create an inspiring 3-day gathering in Lochem. We have planned a great amount of excursions and workshops to share knowledge and come up with new ideas and initiatives to support sustainable energy for rural communities.
What's on the agenda for our Kick-Off Event?
On Wednesday, we start with an introduction of the CIRCUS project by representatives of partners Landelijke Gilden and LochemEnergie. Additionally, all WP1 partners will discuss the Tools being used in the project and their integration. In the evening, there are several excursions planned by LochemEnergie through the town of Lochem, on various topics such as electric carsharing, the application of Gridshield, the preparation of an energy profile for your neighbourhood, the use of hydrogen, and more.
On Thursday, two rounds of workshops take place to ensure participants can join several workshops. The workshops consist of topics such as the role of the government in energy communities, biogas, network congestion avoidance, energy profiles and much more. All workshops and excursions are held in English, are open to participants and require registration through a registration form.
Friday is the last day of our event, and our partners will gather to discuss learnings from the event, discuss the next steps and plan for what's to come in 2025.
